Once incorporated into a product, BioCote® silver-ion based technology, actively reduces the risk of cross-contamination by preventing the colonization of microbes on a protected surface. The built-in protection works constantly to reduce the presence of microbes. Thanks to the multi-modal effect of BioCote®, not only do the bacteria reduce consistently on a protected surface, but the technology does not cause antibiotic resistance.
BioCote® reduces the number of microbes on a surface by up to 86% in just 15 minutes, 99.5% in two hours and up to 99.99%. Actively complementing existing hygiene practices such as hand hygiene and thorough product cleaning regimes, BioCote® provides an additional layer of protection.
