Bathtub with outwards opening door
The outwards opening tub - models 651 and 652 - is particularly suitable for
people with a strong physique or with minor motor limitations.
The door's structure guarantees an ample accessing area, even in the lower part
where the feet sit, contrary to other models that usually provide smaller dimensions.
This leaves a portion of the seat free, simplifying the access.
The advantage of an ample access area requires, on the other hand, enough space
for the opening on the side in front of the door. For this reason the installation
of this type of tub can be made only in big environments.
The useful surface for the feet, with a dimension of around a quarter of square meter, is enough to have a shower standing up.
Access and dimensions
The size of the door makes a good part of the seat accessible, even standing up or seating, making it a rare example of bath tub.
This bath tub with outwards opening door has a capacity of around 245 liters.
The emptying time is between 12 and 15 minutes, by a traditional drainage system.
Tubs with a simple access are recommended for people with normal motor abilities.
