"We want to thank all our customers, installers and industry professionals who visited our stand at Cersaie and discovered our new furnishing system "hug".'' It was with these words that Ponte Giulio's domestic sales manager Adriano Scutigliani brought Cersaie - the international exhibition of ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings - to a close.
As the industry event of 2017 drew to a close, Adriano noted: "Cersaie was the official presentation of our new project. I was confident in the collection but could not have anticipated such a strong response. We have introduced something completely new and many years of work in this field have taught us that profound changes in products often need time to be digested. It was delightful then to see that "hug" was immediately embraced.''
Reaction from stand visitors showed the most popular products were the shower trays in mineral composite and the grab rails with matching containers, shelves and furniture. Adriano continued: "We went from grab rails that simply provide support to a user to a progressive design that allows the products to act not only as safety solutions but also as true furnishing elements which fully display the aesthetic of "hug". The colour combinations, matching items and unique shapes intrigued visitors providing confirmation for us that we are going in the right direction."
The grab rails have a contemporary design to fit different furnishing styles. Their versatility to be used with accessories such as mirrors, furniture, containers and washbasins make them really unique. Adriano says: ''The new finishes we have created (aubergine, copper, lime, grey dotted and red dotted) are very different from the ones we have used in the past, many who have seen the collection have praised it for its classic yet modern style.
"When the collection was being created, we were especially passionate about our vintage looking seats. The wall-mounted cupboards have also been well received due to the variety of colourways available (silk grey, pale blue and pure white) and their shapes. We also saw a lot of praise for the mirrored cupboards, drawers and lighted mirrors which really help to add that cosy, homely touch to any bathroom. "hug" marks a turning point for Ponte Giulio. It's an evolution, a step towards the future. A future we hope to share with private end users and industry professionals alike".
