Tell us about how you started working with the company and how much working at Ponte Giulio has made you grow personally and professionally.

I was lucky enough to do two internships at Ponte Giulio during my studies, allowing me to get to know the company that then offered me the opportunity to join. I started by working in the production and shipping departments, where I got to know the products and logistics processes in detail. I then moved on to the export back-office and then continued my professional evolution in export sales on the front line, giving me the opportunity to be in contact with customers from different countries and cultures; all experiences that accelerated my professional growth and enriched me immensely on a personal and human level too..

You have always dealt with the export market. How have the sales of Ponte Giulio products across borders and the company's brand awareness changed?

The dynamics have changed a lot in recent years. Everything is much faster and this means being extremely dynamic and quick in facing everyday challenges. Our strategy has evolved by always adapting to new scenarios, and the company has equipped itself, at production level, to be present on different sales channels: from classic distribution to online, via contract and large-scale distribution. The Internet also allows us a much more direct and effective communication of our values, peculiarities and brand, being able to address all levels of audience, from the professional to the end consumer..

Biography: Marco Ragno has worked at Ponte Giulio since 2006, with a 3-year break in the middle. He started by working in the production and shipping departments, getting to know the company and its products in depth. He then moved to the back-office for export sales and then took on a frontline role in contact and relations with customers and partners. He currently holds the position of export sales manager, with the task of setting the sales strategy by markets and channels, analysing the needs of partners and distributors, and responding with commercial, marketing and product actions to ensure effective penetration in the various markets and channels.
