Ceremony of ADI honorable mention

Honorable mention for Solo Shower

This important award arrives from the industrial design’s world

Ponte Giulio's "safe shower" project continues to receive good acclaim on the market, and now it also gets a special recognition from the industrial design’s world.

After gaining admission to the ADI Design Index selection, the last November, the project conceived by designer Mirko Rogora, received another honor at the final ceremony for the Compasso d'Oro, held in Milan on Thursday, June 20.

The highest award in the industrial design sector, the “Compasso d'Oro”, is a review organized annually by ADI (Association for Industrial Design) with the aim of rewarding those products, projects or concepts that have most distinguished themselves on the Italian (and International) scene in terms of innovation, originality and style.

In addition to the award winners of the "Compasso" the jury also traditionally indicates some projects "of superior quality" and deserving of "having a particular relevance beyond the awarding of the prize," giving them a special honorable mention. This is precisely what happened to SOLO Shower, which received this special honor, during the twenty-eighth review of the award.

Another sign of the goodness of a product line, realized with the aim of enriching with functionality the shower. Considering a product in another light it can take on functions, tasks, that it did not have before. To do this, it is obviously important to understand the needs of users, to understand the changes of our society, and to make an appropriate synthesis.

Solo Shower is in a sense the necessary translation of a need for greater safety and security in the bathroom.

Watching the product with other eyes, imagining it to be different than usual and capable of going beyond its usual functions Ponte Giulio has transformed the shower into a "safe shower" system.
