Yellow and Grey: Pantone's colours of the year

Ponte Giulio has two very similar colours for its aids and seats, demonstrating the company’s mission to combine safety and style

“Let me, O let me bathe my soul in colours; let me swallow the sunset and drink the rainbow.”

Khalil Gibran

In this 2021 Pantone’s Colours of the Year, are PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating, a combination of two independent colours, designed to demonstrate that "different elements can come together and support each other, managing to best express the spirit of the Pantone Colour of the Year".

"A colour story," explains Pantone, "that enclose a deeper sense of caring with the promise of something sunny and lovely. An ambitious combination – says Pantone - that ignites hope. We need to think that things will shine again; it's essential to the human mind”.

PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is a bright, cheerful yellow that glows with vibrancy, a warm shade imbued with the power of the sun. PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray is a reminder of solid, reliable elements that last and provide a solid foundation.

"At a time in history - Pantone stresses - when people are trying, in every possible way, to find energy, clarity and hope to reinvigorate themselves and overcome this continuous phase of uncertainty, shades that instill grit and courage respond to the need for vitality".

Ponte Giulio has long believed in these two colours, so much so that its products, aids, seatings, acrylic stone washbasins, accessories have no fewer than six colour variants for yellow (light, banana, green, orange, gold and limoncello) and four for grey (stone, dark, silk and graphite). Two of them are very similar to the Pantone colours of the year: light yellow and stone grey.
The Italian company has concentrated its production guidelines on the belief that safe environments can be beautiful, fashionable and designer at the same time.
