Ponte Giulio and Laser Build supply a nursing home project near Sintra in Portugal

Ponte Giulio and its Portuguese partner, Laser Build, were chosen for the furnishing of the Domus Aurea, nursing home project near Sintra, Portugal.

The vinyl coated grab bars for the shower, wc and washbasin areas, the folding grab bar for toilet and the removable object container are the perfect mix of design and functionality, together with their high-quality and value-for-money, representing exactly what Domus Aurea was looking for in this project.

The vinyl coated grab bars offer superior benefits to their users. They are soft, warm-to-the-touch and non-slip for extra comfort and added safety. They also provide, built-in antimicrobial protection thanks to BioCote technology based on silver ions. Not only the antimicrobial properties help reduce the risk of cross-contamination and infection from mold, bacteria and some virus, it also helps preserve the products themselves, extending their lifetime.

A straight grab bar, with a long dimension, was smartly installed to be used as a towel holder and bar for the basin and a grip for the toilet. The toilet roll holder was also added as extra element of comfort and practicality for the user sitting next to the toilet.
The object container installed in the shower can be easily removed and placed onto the grab bar for users to put their gels and shampoos. It also features a smart handle which enables users to carry the container easily from their room to the shower.
